Palliative care is not about giving up. It is about living as well as possible for as long as possible — and when the time comes, dying with dignity, surrounded by family, free from pain. At Eshna Pain & Palliative Centre, we believe that the best place for palliative care is often the patient's own home.
Dr. Anwesha Banerjee and Dr. Neeraj K. Dahiya are both IAPC-certified in Palliative Care (CCEPC). We are among the few specialists in Delhi with dual certification in both Pain Medicine and Palliative Care.

Q: Is palliative care only for cancer?
A: No. Palliative care is appropriate for any serious, life-limiting illness — heart failure, kidney disease, COPD, neurological conditions, and advanced age-related decline.
Q: Does palliative care mean the doctor has given up?
A: Absolutely not. Palliative care can and should be provided alongside active treatment. Research shows that patients who receive early palliative care alongside cancer treatment actually live longer and report better quality of life than those receiving treatment alone.
Q: Can morphine and other strong pain medicines be given at home?
A: Yes. We are licensed to prescribe and manage opioid analgesics under NDPS regulations, and we guide families on safe administration, storage, and disposal of these medications at home.
Q: Which areas of Delhi do you cover for home visits?
A: We currently cover South Delhi (Chittaranjan Park, Greater Kailash, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Kalkaji) and extend to Greater Noida and parts of the NCR. Contact us to check availability in your area.
